Casio Edifice EFK100 Automatic Casio’s first automatic watch is here and as a watch enthusiast and a budding Casio fan, I was sold at the announcement stage. Now, first off, thank you @casio.india @edificeindia for letting me experience the forged carbon variant and inviting me to the exclusive launch event. It is here that I actually made the decision to get the white dial variant for myself. This dial is out of the world. Trust me on that, it is better than the black forged carbon variant and the other colours, while very well executed, the white beats them. As a watch, Casio EFK 100, or the Edifice Automatic checks 80% of them. And at the affordable spectrum of things, that is just solid. You get a brand with a fantastic cult following, who now has decided to enter into this chic world of automatic and the only thing you can expect is disruption ! Now yes, Casio played it safe, they had to. I mean look at the price sensitive folks here in India. Watches at 25k is a sensitive issue and folks will try to find all ways to bring this down. But that is hardly the case. The watch is doing exactly what it should. Look good, fit well, follow some sort of trend, have a unique design that cannot be cross referenced with some other watch and have a reliable movement, this watch all of that. And now, it challenges the 25k bracket - Announcing itself. I am sure the competition (which I love !!) are taking notes. We are soon going to see a 3 way fight here - Casio, Seiko, Citizen.
