The North Chimney of Castleton Tower has some really cool technical moves and it’s also an epic adventure route. Every climber needs to try this fun chimney. For Sam it was a piece of cake. He loved going up there with his dad and two other friends. Then they camped at the summit. It was a ton of fun.

I thought I was done with big wall climbing for the year, but when @mattsegal asked me if I would help him haul his @traegergrills to the top of Castleton Tower so he could cook up some steaks for the boys - obviously I had to say yes! Another fun (but windy!) day in Castle Valley 🌅 🎥 & 📸 @mattsegal #traegergrills

My only gear falls out of the crack! This is what happens when you only bring one #4 for the Kor Ingalls on Castleton tower 😬

Calcite in chimneys should be illegal😅 you might as well be climbing on glass! The classic Kor-Ingalls on Castleton Tower- so fun and worth going back to but definitely not a walk in the park for a 5.9+! #rockclimbing #utah #adventurecouple

Sunset last night at Castleton Tower was on point. Castleton is probably the most famous desert tower in the world. It’s 120m (400ft) high and made of wingate sandstone, home to one of North America’s classic rock climbs the Kor-Ingalls. Who’s been on top? 🙋🏻♂️

CASTLETON TOWER! With the CORVID 3. Hands down my favorite wingsuit base jump in moab! I climbed and jumped it once but its definitely a lot easier to take the elevator! As always thanks for an epic day @rusrobin #toughturkey Top speed 128mph Flare 20m #corvid3 P.S. that is my highest speed in moab to date hoping to break it on this suit soon. And the flare number is still rather impressive considering most of your energy is being put into traversing to flat rather than going up which would usually put you closer to terrain than necessary. 🎥 @ethan_the_good_guy @clark.robinson @karlstezlick @ataircanopies @squirrel.ws #stunttime #toughturkeytour26

Desert climbing season is here do you want to climb castleton tower? Let us guide the way🤩 🎥 @kiersa_koepnick

Lazy Hiking Alert 🚨⚠️ I had a breathtaking paramotor flight around Castleton Tower, often referred to as the “desert icon.” It is a remarkable sandstone tower located in the Castle Valley region of Utah, United States.✨ It stands at an impressive height of 400 feet (120 meters) above the desert floor base‼️ Castleton Tower is a popular destination for rock climbers due to its unique shape. The tower attracts climbers from all over the world, offering various climbing routes of different difficulties! I was lucky enough to wave to some climbers on this flight!! 🧗♀️ I am left speechless sometimes that I can take a 10 minute flight and be able see these incredible views up close! It’s listed as a hard 2.6 mile out and back trail on Alltrails (not including climbing to the peak), but from this point of view I was relaxed in my seat taking it all in! ☺️ I can’t wait to explore more parts of Utah! I’m so blessed to have found paramotoring. Don’t get me wrong, I love hiking.. just lazy hiking is so much more fulfilling!! 🩵 Who wants to join me on my next flight? 🥰 • • • #Aviation #Paramotor #Exploring #ParamotorGirl #GirlsWhoFly #PPG #SkySports #Vittorazi #paraglidinggirls #aviationgirls #flygirls #womeninaviation #paramotoring #adventuregirls #flygirlfly #aviatorppg #aviationlovers #inthesky #vanlife #explore #exploretheworld #dreamflight #flylikeagirl #skydivelife #skydivergirl #hikergirl #femalevanlife #vittorazimotors #vittorazimoster185 #girlsflytoo

Wingsuiting Castleton Tower. Thank you @rusrobin @squirrel.ws @gopro #GoPro13 #Corvid3 #Hayduke2 #Castleton #flare

Are you up to the challenge of Castleton Tower? This one of a kind formation is a bucket list item and has quite the history about it (it was even featured in an old Chevy commercial where they landed an Impala on the summit!) Both the North Chimney and Kor Ingalls are superb routes and feature amazing climbing on spectacularly exposed sandstone. The Kor Ingalls route is even featured as one of the 50 Classics of North America! Woot woot, it's desert season!

Moab gets a lot of hype for its big-name spots, but one of our favorite drives in the area barely gets talked about: the La Sal Loop 🚗🏔️ This road is such a good reminder that you don’t have to chase the most famous trailhead to have an incredible day. The scenery keeps changing, the crowds thin out, and you get a totally different feel for the area once you leave town. A few stops we always recommend along the way: 🌿 Grandstaff Canyon & Morning Glory Bridge A moderate hike that follows a creek through a green canyon and ends at one of the longest natural rock spans in Utah. It’s a great way to start the loop if you want to stretch your legs. 🌊 Colorado River pull-offs Simple, underrated stops. Take a few minutes to sit by the river and enjoy the quiet before heading back into the red rock. 🗼 Castleton Tower You don’t have to be a climber to appreciate this one. Seeing it rise out of the desert never gets old. 🦕 Bull Canyon & dinosaur tracks A short detour and a fun surprise. Ancient history just sitting out there if you know where to look. 🏔️ La Sal Lookout Point This is where the drive really flips the script. Cooler air, alpine views, and a big perspective shift looking back toward the desert. 💧 Faux Falls Man-made, yes - but surprisingly impressive. A quick detour that feels completely out of place in the desert in the best way. A few things to keep in mind: 🚗 It’s paved, but weather can affect conditions, especially at higher elevations 🍂 Spring and fall are ideal. Summer can be hot down low, but the mountains offer relief 💧 Bring water and snacks. There aren’t many services once you leave town 🌿 Leave No Trace and respect the land along the way If Moab ever starts to feel a little chaotic, the La Sal Loop is the perfect escape. Slower, quieter, and way more varied than most people expect. _____________________________________ 👋🏻 We are Senta 🇩🇪 and Eric 🇺🇸 and are full-time traveling through North America with our two dogs Tinkerbell 🐻 and Maple 🐺.
