This was such an easy setup… and the chickens love it! My chickens have always preferred open water from buckets…but those get warm, stagnant, and full of algae so fast… especially in Florida. 🥵 I used a galvanized tub, some old pavers, river rock, and a small solar fountain from @poposoapsolar to keep the water moving. Weather is already warming up… I needed something simple that would help keep their water fresher without needing electricity out by the barn. And did you know??? Chickens can’t sweat, so they release heat through their combs and wattles. Keeping fresh, cool water available like this helps them stay hydrated and better handle the heat. Maybe 10 minutes to put together… and they went straight to it.
