So many people are scared of them, but the truth is, snakes are incredibly gentle, and beautiful animals when you take the time to understand them. ❤️ They actually hold a very special place in my heart snakes were the very first exotic animals I ever kept and cared for as a young girl. They sparked my lifelong passion for wildlife and opened my eyes to how amazing these creatures truly are. In this video I’m hanging out with Scarlet, my stunning albino Burmese python one of the biggest and most impressive snake species in the world! Here are some fun facts about Burmese pythons to celebrate the day: ✨ They are one of the largest snakes in the world capable of growing over 20 feet long and weighing more than 200 pounds! ✨ Burmese pythons are nonvenomous constrictors meaning they wrap around their prey and gently squeeze to subdue it not nearly as scary as Hollywood makes it seem. ✨ In the wild they are found in Southeast Asia but in places like Florida they’ve become an invasive species due to released or escaped pets. ✨ Albino Burmese pythons like Scarlet have a beautiful golden-yellow and white coloration because of a genetic mutation that affects their pigment. Snakes are essential to healthy ecosystems because they help control rodent and pest populations and they deserve our respect and protection.
