China just built a quantum computer and, for the first time, open sourced its full quantum operating system. This is Zuchongzhi 3, a 105 qubit quantum computer that just completed a task which would take the world’s fastest supercomputers an impractical amount of time. But hardware is only half the story. China also just open sourced something called Origin Pilot, the world’s first publicly downloadable quantum operating system. Think of it like Windows, but for quantum computers. It manages multiple quantum processors at once, keeps qubits calibrated automatically, and lets developers write apps across superconducting, trapped ion, and neutral atom systems from a single interface. So while the West has been focused on raw qubit counts, China quietly built the entire stack, the chip and the software to run it. This is no longer just a lab experiment. It is becoming a full ecosystem.

China just shipped the first quantum operating system built for real hardware execution. Origin Pilot manages workflows across quantum and classical processors: routing tasks between QPUs and CPUs, handling error correction, and abstracting the hardware layer so developers can run jobs without writing gate code by hand. That’s the same abstraction leap classical computing made when operating systems replaced manual register management. Quantum just crossed that line. "Quantum computing is reaching an inflection point," Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said at Nvidia’s GTC Paris conference. Huang noted that Nvidia has more than 20 “AI factories” in development across the continent, promising European researchers and startups that their “GPU shortage will be resolved” soon. The CEO also touched on Nvidia’s quantum computing efforts, spotlighting its hybrid quantum-classical platform, Cuda Q, and claiming that the technology could begin solving real-world problems in the next few years. 🔗 Click the link in the bio to read more.

China has announced a major breakthrough in quantum computing. Researchers developed a prototype quantum computer called Jiuzhang, which completed a complex calculation in just four minutes something that would take a traditional supercomputer billions of years to finish. The system achieved this by analyzing 76 photons using a method called Gaussian Boson Sampling, demonstrating the incredible processing power of photon-based quantum technology. Previous classical systems could only handle around five photons, making this a massive leap in computational capability. This achievement shows how quantum physics principles like Quantum Superposition and Quantum Entanglement are moving beyond theory and becoming practical technology. In the future, quantum computers could transform fields such as quantum chemistry, secure communications, and advanced scientific research, potentially solving problems that are impossible for today’s computers. #QuantumComputing #QuantumBreakthrough #FutureTechnology #ChinaTech #Supercomputing #alchetron #viral Read : https://alchetron.com/Quantum-computing

China isn’t catching up. It’s leaping ahead. From robotics to Al, the future is being built-today. In cities like Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Shanghai, automation isn’t a concept-it’s a lived experience. China’s tech advancement isn’t just about hardware or software-it’s about speed, scale, and unapologetic ambition. While other nations pilot innovation, China is deploying it across industries and public life, reshaping how people live, move, and work. From cashless economies and smart cities to Al-driven logistics and humanoid robots, China is defining what the future looks like-and exporting that vision to the world. This isn’t a glimpse of tomorrow. This is China in 2099. #china #tech #shenzhen #technology #viral #futuretech #futurist #automation #goviral #global

Computing as we know it uses 1’s and 0’s to complete functions. Quantum computation, however, takes on richer states that go far beyond just a simple 1 or 0. In our latest discovery, our Quantum AI researchers hit a breakthrough that significantly shifts how we understand and operate quantum computing. Just ask Yu Chen, Lead Scientist in Quantum Metrology, who breaks down the bits and bobs of an enhanced quantum computer. At the link in bio, learn more about our recent milestone.

Quantum computing explained 👾 If it does as it promises, it will change the world. Quantum computing is a new type of computing that uses qubits, which can represent more than just 0 or 1, to tackle certain problems in very different ways than normal computers do. Its biggest promise is in areas like materials science, drug discovery, optimization, and cryptography, where it could eventually do useful work beyond classical machines. Like AI was, it’s the kind of thing that could explode and change our lives. Follow for more informal, non patronising tech explainers [quantum computing]

A quantum computer in China has accomplished a groundbreaking feat—solving a problem in just four minutes that would take even the fastest classical supercomputer billions of years. This achievement was made possible by Jiuzhang, a 76-qubit quantum computer prototype that operates using light-based technology. Instead of traditional electronic circuits, Jiuzhang relies on lasers, mirrors, prisms, and photon detectors to process data at unprecedented speeds.
