It turns everyday responsibilities into something visual, simple, and honestly… a little fun for them. Whether it’s chores or potty training, it gives them ownership, a sense of progress, and something they can feel proud of. And those are always the systems that work best. I hate going to the bank and it’s so much easier to transfer some money into my kids checking account from my own account, than going to the bank every time. But the fake money gives the kids, some visual appeal and encouragement, instead of just staring at a chore card with a dollar amount on it. The freedom to be able to change the amount of money that I will pay for a chore, depending on how dirty or clean it is. 2. Why don’t you just give your kids an allowance? My job as a mom, is to work myself out of a job. I want my kids to be as knowledgeable and independent as possible so when they leave me, they are confident in the skills they have. So it is much more beneficial for them in the long run to learn how to do chores and get paid for the extra ones rather than just handing them money. 3. How many cards come with it? The chore cards are split up into 8 different rooms or categories. In each category, there are 12 different chores. Some chores are big, some chores are small. You get to choose which ones you use.
