Hidden beaches, lighthouse views, and 10/10 vibes. 📍 Chowder Bay → Bradleys Head Walk 8.4 km return · 2–2.5 hrs · Easy–Moderate 📍 Start Point • Chowder Bay, Mosman • Big grassy area, café options, heritage buildings • Easy access to Chowder Bay Beach for a pre/post-walk dip 🚶‍♀️ What the Walk Is Like • Scenic foreshore track along Sydney Harbour • Mostly well-maintained paths with some stairs • Mix of shade + open water views • Perfect for sunrise or late afternoon 🌊 Hidden Spots & Beaches Along the Way • Chowder Bay Beach — calm, clear water, great for swimming • Taylors Bay — quiet inlet, peaceful spot to rest • Athol Beach — tiny sandy cove with harbour views, often overlooked • Bradleys Head Amphitheatre — harbour lookout + perfect photo spot • Bradleys Head Fishing Spot — locals’ fishing area with wide water views and room for a swim ✨ Highlights • Stunning views of the Harbour Bridge & Opera House • Bradleys Head Lighthouse — iconic white lighthouse • Old military sites & fortifications • Wildlife: water dragons, kookaburras, stingrays in shallow bays • Multiple swim spots if it’s warm 🚗 How to Get There By Car • Drive to Chowder Bay Rd, Mosman • Parking at Clifton Gardens Reserve (paid) • Arrive early on weekends — fills fast! COASTAL WALK WITH THE MOST TURQUOISE BLUE WATERS This is the Taronga Zoo to Balmoral Beach Coastal Walk in Sydney. It is 6.8km one way, it is mostly paved, and can be done in about 3 hours, if you don’t stop, but let’s face it, that’s not going to happen with views like this, sunset views like that, and 6 amazing spots along the way that makes this walk so special.
 1. Athol Beach - Located just by the Taronga Zoo ferry wharf where you will alight from, Athol Beach has some of the most turquoise blue waters with views of Sydney’s most famous icons. 
 2. Bradleys Head - Continue further along for more stunning views of the harbour and Sydney, & a heritage listed lighthouse. This is one of my top sunset spots too. 
 3. Taylors Bay - This was a surprise for me as I didn’t even know there was a secluded beach there, and those waters!! Need I say more. 
 4. Chowder Bay. Further along the walk you’ll find Chowder Bay & Clifton Gardens. This park is family friendly, great for picnics, and is a haven for divers. Again those waters looked so inviting.
 5. Georges Head - The look out here has the most incredible views of Sydney, Manly, and into Eastern Suburbs.
 6. The final stop is Balmoral Beach - One of the most beautiful beaches in Sydney with the most calm & turquoise blue waters. The perfect spot for a well deserved feed.
