I don’t get root rot anymore. It’s about watering too frequently. My go-to potting mix recipe! 🪴 Combine equal parts perlite, bark and coco coir.. followed by a sprinkle of worm castings for nutrition! I’ve used this chunky mix for YEARS and it works perfect for my monsteras, philodendrons, pothos, bird of paradise etc. providing them nutrients and good drainage. After I filmed this I added another 1/2 part chunky perlite. I’ll always make minor adjustments at the end to get it exactly where I like it. I also used less worm castings as plants are receiving fertilizer right now. This is what I use for all of my houseplants, the only difference will be what proportions I grab when potting a specific genus or plant.
