Here is what I would say if you are hesitant to join because of the cost of Classical Conversations: I personally don’t think I would be able to homeschool properly if it wasn’t for CC. It has brought the FUN & the COMMUNITY into our lives that we absolutely love. It is a CHRIST CENTERED curriculum. 1. Curriculum is included in the cost 2. The community is everything 3. The Tutors for your child’s class is actually teaching them. So CC day is a true school day. 4. Science & Art supplies are provided so you don’t have to do those subjects at home. Tutors relate the science and art back to the Bible! It all leads to God. 5. Tutors are paid to teach. So if money is tight you are welcome to tutor and it will help pay for your children and then some 6. Each family is interviewed to make sure they have the same core beliefs. So you will grow close with like minded families & if cost is a true issue you can always do payment plans! We invest in what it’s important to us! So maybe we might not eat out as much or get treats. But CC is so worth it. #homeschool #classicalconversations #homeschoolmom

What does homeschooling with @classical_conversations look like? Well… Our foundations look like this. We get the memory work done while we have our meals. We talk about the subjects, we quiz each other, we sing the songs. And when we don’t, it’s still there so it gets seen ALL. THE. TIME. Every subject is on the windows and we change it every day 1. Then we do essentials, math and language arts around the house. They’re not doing these 3 things: 👇 🎭 1. Letting characters interrupt and overlap Real conversations are messy. People cut each other off, finish sentences, and talk over each other. ❌ Don’t do: “I was thinking we should leave early tomorrow.” “That sounds like a reasonable plan.” ✅ Instead do: “I was thinking we should—“ “If you say 6 AM again, I swear—“ “Seven. I was going to say seven.” 🔍 2. Using action beats instead of dialogue tags Stop telling us how characters feel. Show us through their movements and reactions. ❌ Don’t do: “I’m fine,” she said sadly. ✅ Instead do: “I’m fine.” She picked at the label on her water bottle until it shredded. 💭 3. Burying the real conversation in subtext The most powerful dialogue happens between the lines. What they DON’T say matters more. ❌ Don’t do: “I’m upset because you’re always working late and missing dinner.” ✅ Instead do: “I made your favorite. Again. It’s in the fridge whenever you... whenever.” Remember: Dialogue isn’t about perfect grammar or complete sentences.
