🔊 Please enjoy some delightful cronches and sniffs as a celebration of World Coati Day! Omnivorous coatis use their long, flexible nose to root out small prey from the ground. Honey here sniffed out some squash and Aro rooted out his omnivore chow. They also eat small prey and insects—crickets are a favorite. A relative of the northern raccoon, the coati is typically pale brown with dark brown markings. A mask surrounds its white face, brown snout and black nose, and its distinctive black and white striped tail is generally carried erect. 📹 Keeper Nora

Here are some reasons why coatis make great pets! Spoiler alert, they are horrible pets! As always, we are trying to show animals in a positive light and although they are cute and cuddly, they do not make good pets.
