Whalesbot E7 Pro is a super cool STEM robotic kit for kids (and why not? adults too!). It comes with lot (believe me: LOT) of bricks parts allowing you to build robots, cars, tracked vehicles, various kind of mechanisms and... a tirannosaurus rex too!! Plastic parts are made of ABS and have very high quality. Main controller allows to connect a great variety of sensors and motors. The phone app (available for Android and IOS) it's awesome since will guide you step by step through the assembling process and then will allow you to program it, through Bluetooth, using a simplified scratch-like interface. The speed 👀 A humanoid robot just learned to do a wallflip entirely through AI. The project was developed by researchers at Amazon’s Foundation Agents and Robotics team, using two systems called OmniRetarget and BeyondMimic. OmniRetarget uses deep learning to study how humans move and adapt those motions to a robot’s body and physics. BeyondMimic builds on that with reinforcement learning, allowing the robot to practice the flip repeatedly until it lands perfectly with no manual coding involved. After a few tweaks, it achieved a 5/5 success rate in real-world wallflips, showing how AI is now teaching robots complex, athletic skills once thought impossible. [ zhenkirito123 I X ]

That’s the core functionality up and running. 👌 Still plenty of bugs to iron out, plus a full wiring and hardware cleanup to do. I also need to fine-tune the servo angles in software—some are only a few degrees off but can't be physically adjusted with enough resolution on the spline. It’s satisfying seeing this finally move after sitting unfinished for years.
