No one saw the vision… until it was built. Orion was the first house I ever designed + built from the ground up. A lot of choices didn’t make sense to people at the time — the layout, the beams, the finishes, the risks. There was a lot of “this is too difficult”and “This is too nice for an investment property.” And honestly? Half the time I was just trusting my gut. But that’s the wild thing about building: the result always makes the process make sense. I don’t regret any of the design choices that I made because they paid off wildly in the wow moments and overwhelmingly positive response I received from my guests.
