Game development makes mathematics fun. 😉 "Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it is about understanding." – William Paul Thurston Honestly my favourite quote that explains mathematics. When I was in school I hated math.. I didn't understand why the numbers, equations or algorithms were needed.. Like why would I even need to know how much water can fit in a pool? 😅 But once I started making video games I started to understand why. And this changed everything. Mathematics became exciting and useful. I started to enjoy the challenge all because of one important factor: 👉 Visualization. Visualizing mathematics made everything different. Not only did it help me understand, it also helped me to enjoy math. Just seeing your mistakes and having a good laugh at weird results makes it fun. If you play with ragdolls you will know what I mean 😜. But it also added another layer of satisfaction. When you make something in your game which requires complex maths, it's just so satisfying to see it work and see it all come together. It makes you extremely proud and actually makes you feel pretty smart as well. 😉 As they also say: "Math is not boring, you are just doing boring math". 😉 And when you make video games even boring math can become fun when you visualize it. 🙌 So.. with that said, I will try to aim to show you more mathematical exercises in the following weeks to help you enjoy math and improve your game development skills. Along with a roadmap for 2025. So please do follow me if you are interested in this! 🤩 ⚡ Don't forget to save for later. 😉 Happy coding everyone! 👨‍💻 Follow me for more programming and game development content! 👨‍💻🎮 ~@justinbieshaar . . 🏷️ #math #gamedev #unity3d #videogames #programming #programmer #unity3d #mathematics #mathematician #calculator #calculus #gameprogramming #maths #physics #gamedeveloper #gamedevelopment #coding #coder #csharp #java #javascript #cplusplus #python #frontend #backend #indiedev #indiegamedev

Quantum computing represents a radical shift from traditional computing. While classical computers process data in binary — 0s or 1s — quantum computers use QUBITS, which can exist as 0 and 1 simultaneously through superposition. This allows quantum systems to perform massive parallel computations, exploring countless possibilities at once instead of sequentially. Imagine a classical computer checking one door at a time to find the right answer. A quantum computer checks all doors simultaneously—finding solutions at lightning speed. Why It Matters: Quantum computing’s speed and efficiency make it revolutionary for: Drug discovery & molecular research Cryptography & cybersecurity AI & machine learning optimization Climate modeling & financial forecasting This isn’t just about faster processors — it’s about a new way of thinking. Quantum computing challenges the limits of classical logic, ushering in a new era of intelligence, innovation, and insight. The quantum revolution is no longer science fiction — it’s shaping the future of technology today. #QuantumComputing #Qubits #FutureTech #QuantumMechanics #AIInnovation #TechRevolution #QuantumPhysics #EmergingTech #QuantumLeap #NextGenTech #FutureOfComputing #ScienceInnovation #QuantumTechnology #DigitalTransformation #TechEducation #STEM #InnovationRevolution #QuantumEra #ScienceExplained #QuantumFuture

The fact that the universe emerged from nothingness already
551,905

The fact that the universe emerged from nothingness already challenges the framework of science. Physics explains transformations—matter into energy, particles into waves—but not the leap from absolute nothing to something. If there was once no space, no time, no energy, and no matter, then the origin of the universe cannot be accounted for purely within those categories. Something outside this framework must exist, otherwise the transition would be impossible. It points toward an underlying principle, a “ground of being,” independent of the physical scaffolding we measure. Consciousness deepens this puzzle. Unlike computations, which manipulate symbols according to formal rules, consciousness is first-person, subjective, and self-aware. No algorithm can capture the raw quality of experience—the “what it feels like” to be. Even if one simulates thought patterns or behaviors, the inner awareness remains missing. This non-computability suggests consciousness is not reducible to physical processes, much like the universe is not reducible to prior physical states. Together, these facts imply an independent reality—something beyond space, time, energy, and matter—that grounds both the origin of existence and the phenomenon of consciousness. It may be unknowable in the traditional scientific sense, but its fingerprints are left in the impossibility of explaining “something” and “awareness” from within physics alone.

26,426

In a neural network, each layer performs math computations to transform the input data into a final output. At the start, input data is passed through the first layer, where it’s multiplied by weights and added to biases, followed by an activation function that introduces some non-linearity. This process is repeated through each layer, gradually transforming the data until it reaches the output layer. During training, backpropagation comes into play. After the network makes a prediction, a “loss” or “cost” is calculated by comparing the predicted output to the actual target value. Backpropagation then computes the gradient of the loss with respect to each weight by using the chain rule, allowing the model to adjust its parameters to reduce the error. This process is repeated over many iterations, helping the network learn from the data and improve its predictions. To create a project for trajectory prediction and collision
1,471,197

To create a project for trajectory prediction and collision detection in Python, you will likely involve some core mathematical computations and visualization. Here's an overview of how to approach this: 1. Problem Scope Trajectory Prediction: Estimate the future positions of moving objects given their current position, velocity, and direction. Collision Detection: Check whether two or more trajectories intersect, indicating a potential collision. 2. Steps to Implement a. Setup Define the initial positions, velocities, and directions of the objects. Use physics-based equations (e.g., equations of motion) for trajectory prediction. b. Model the Trajectory Assuming uniform motion: x_t = x_0 + v_x \cdot t, \quad y_t = y_0 + v_y \cdot t x_t = x_0 + v_x \cdot t + \frac{1}{2} a_x \cdot t^2, \quad y_t = y_0 + v_y \cdot t + \frac{1}{2} a_y \cdot t^2 c. Collision Detection Calculate the distance between objects at each timestep: \text{distance} = \sqrt{(x_1 - x_2)^2 + (y_1 - y_2)^2} d. Visualization (Optional) Use libraries like matplotlib to visualize the predicted trajectories and detect collision points.
