You can save a lot of money by choosing concrete pool decking, but unless it’s your only option (or you prefer it), I wouldn’t recommend it. We seriously considered sprayed concrete decking to cut costs on our pool project, but I wasn’t a fan of the look. Concrete can also be slippery to walk on, hot, and crack over time. We thought about starting with concrete and upgrading to pavers later, but that would’ve ended up costing even more due to the demo required to replace it. In the end, we’re so glad we invested in travertine pavers from the start, even though it was more expensive.
