This timelapse captures corn developing layer by layer, almost like nature’s own 3D printing process. Each kernel forms in a precise, organized pattern as the plant grows, showcasing the incredible biological engineering behind a simple ear of corn. It’s a fascinating reminder that nature builds complex structures with perfect timing and design. Here’s a quick time lapse of what mid afternoon looks like here. Currently, the sun remains below 18° below the horizon meaning it is night all day. On August 2, we will begin to see the return of twilight, and the sun will rise for the first time on September 21, exactly 6 months after it set. #southpole #antarctica #lifeinantarctica #nightskytimelapse #polarnight #southpolestation #milkywaytimelapse #auroraaustralis #relaxingvideos #extremecoldweather #sonya7riv #starrystarrynight

With a quick glimpse of the naked eye, clouds don’t appear to move much, but with time lapse photography one can really see the rising and sinking motions within the troposphere (the lowest layer of the atmosphere where weather occurs). Images of these towering cumulus clouds were captured every three seconds over a span of several minutes to build these time lapse sequences (Imagery by meteorologist Todd Shoemake). Towering cumulus clouds occur when sufficient moisture, lift and instability are present in the lower part of the troposphere. If lift and rising motion persist long enough, these towering cumulus clouds can become precipitation laden and grow into thunderstorms. If you live in the south central to southeastern U.S keep an eye to the skies, as strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible today (March 7th) and Friday (March 8th).

This might look like CGI, but it is actually biology at work. This macro time-lapse captures a 35-day growth cycle of Zea mays, better known as corn, compressed into a massive speedrun. You are watching the raw efficiency of nature's engineering as the root system aggressively hunts for water while the shoots deploy upward like organic solar panels. The creator used a fixed camera rig to capture approximately 840 hours of biological data. It essentially visualizes the hidden mechanical process of agriculture, turning a slow month-long event into instant, satisfying engineering data. It really puts the speed of nature into perspective. — — — — — Have you ever seen roots move like that? 💬 Follow for more Technology updates Video: Amazing Tube
