Permanent Adhesive Vinyl vs Regular Cast Vinyl: Most decals (like you see here) are made using “Permanant Adhesive Vinyl” (which I cut in-house using Oracle 651). It is different from your traditional Vinyl that you see applied on full vehicle wraps. PAV has NO air-release channels unlike CV because typically decals are not tucked under edges and exposed on open surfaces. Because of this, you want a stronger and more permanent bond than something with air-release channels. (it’s not REALLY permanent. just more permanent than CV)

FENDER - Continuing the discovery process to resolve the massive tire-to-fender interference issues caused my 38” tires, massive suspension travel and the portal axles on this 1972 K5 Blazer. Not every experiment pays off but this one using small strips of spring steel feels like it’s going to help reveal a nice, aesthetically pleasing fender arch design that should improve the clearance as the drivers side tire stuffs into the wheelwell and is turned to a full-lock steering position. #offroad #4x4 #fabrication #portalaxles #mightaswellk5
