How to datamosh in a few easy steps ⬇️ 1. Download Avidemux and open your video 2. Select MPEG ASP (xvid4) under video output 3. Click configure, and set b-frames to zero and GOP to 500 4. Change output format to AVI and save 5. Open the new file and change video output to copy 6. Delete I-Frames, and/or copy and paste P-Frames 7. Select the whole timeline and save another file, then reopen 8. Finally, save one more file with MPEG4 AVC (x264) as the video output, MP4 as the output format Datamoshing is one of the coolest ways to glitch video, and the combination of the blooming effect caused by the p-frames and the pixelation caused by the i-frames makes for epic looking footage.
