Since then, however, it’s gotten bigger and bigger as more tourists arrive expecting a show. Nowadays, the parade involves thousands of participants all dressed up, floats, mariachi bands and more! The route starts at the Angel of Independence and runs 4km all the way to the Zócalo, so there’s plenty of space to find a spot and watch.  You’ll find loads of food vendors, stalls and face painters everywhere so you can really enjoy yourself on the day. If you wait around until the end of the parade, you’ll be able to join on behind the last participants and follow the procession to the Zócalo, typically finishing around 6-6:30pm.
