Delegating and task assignment are not the same thing! With proper delegation, you can provide your team with the opportunity to make their mark and excel in their expertise. #Delegate #Delegating #TaskAssignment #Management #WorkDynamics

DON’T BE AFRAID TO MICRO-MANAGE In today’s business parlance, micro-managing is sometimes looked down upon - and yet it can be absolutely crucial. Equally crucial is the ability to delegate and to judge when to macro-manage. 📕 All proceeds from Love, Pain & Money: The Making of a Billionaire, published by @mirror.books, go to @caudwellchildren. 👏 Thanks to @foundxrsclub for a great question. #askjc #mondaymotivation #management #micromanaging #delegating

Do you get distracted easy? Have one big idea to the next? Are your ideas usually solid but lack execution? Are you highly creative, artistic, have 5 projects going at all times & make a mess when you are not busy? No I’m not selling any courses or anything but I do want to take a minute & connect with you & fill you in on how much of an advantage you have. Having #ADHD can hold you captive if you don’t know how to use it right. Diagnosed as a kid, I always felt like I needed to “hold back” or not be so “extra”. First off, if you feel that in life, you are wonderfully made. Be that extra 🙌🏻. The truth is, you will never be organized, straight laced, or filtered. However you need to surround yourself with people who are that you can bounce off of. That is probably my #1 tip to using your creative ideas to your advantage. Let people give you feedback & really listen. As much as our creative brain wants to tell us we “know it all” we just don’t. I do guarantee you have a network of people around you though that can solidify your ideas and help you execute them efficiently. #2 Do not stay in a box. You don’t have to pick a lane. You want to start a company selling organic cotton pet clothes? Go for it (wait that’s a great idea 🤪) but make sure you team up with manufacturers you trust & have a marketing plan that is solid. You also want to do freelance creative gigs? Go for it. You can do both. Just put a business plan behind whatever creative goal you have. (This is where you find a team). You can wear 7 different hats, just make sure you have 7 different teams that help you execute all of them efficiently & effectively. I don’t know why, but for years I would have big ideas & put myself on an island to try & achieve them. It wasn’t until I stopped hoarding my ideas & I let myself get advice from people who had strengths I didn’t, guide me. #3 Don’t let your creativity die. This one is hard for me. I lose interest once something gets going & then I want to start something new. I think #stanley has taught us the most valuable lesson in this. You can always re-brand. I used to be afraid I would ⬇️ more in comments #create #entrepreneur

Can anyone else relate to needing to outsource more in your life instead of doing more yourself? I’ve been reading the book Who Not How, which has certainly taught me a lesson over the last two weeks. The premise is: instead of asking “How can I achieve this?” you should ask “Who can help me achieve this?”—emphasizing the power of collaboration over individual effort to reach bigger goals faster. My brilliant self decided I would clear out my carport at my Harper’s Ferry property instead of outsourcing the task. I spent hours tossing debris and cleaning…when I should have just hired someone off Thumbtack or TaskRabbit. I ended up getting an awful tick bite (that I didn’t see until ~9 days later) that caused me to have a horrible reaction. Thank goodness @crobert01 spends a lot of time hiking because I NEVER would have thought that a tick bite could make me so sick! Fortunately I’m now feeling so much better, but point taken, and lesson certainly noted. Time to outsource and delegate more to grow my businesses bigger, better, and stronger, and buy back my time, one task at a time 🙌🏼 . . . #realestateinvestor #realestateinvestor #realestateinvesting #brrrrstrategy #wvrealestate #femaleinvestors #harpersferry #victorianrenovation #whonothow #entrepreneur #entreprenuership #entrepreneurlyfestyle #entreprenuerlife #businesslessons #businesslearning #outsourcing #delegating #outsourcingbusiness #realtorlife #realtor #investorfriendlyagent #novarealestate #novarealtor #listwithlexiedmv #womanownedsmallbusiness #womanownedbusiness #femaleownedbusiness #femaleownedsmallbusiness

My 9 kids do help with cleaning the house. Strategy below👇 I’ve had kids for 23 years now. And with 11 people living in the same home… ⛔️ONE person (me) cannot do all the work. Think of the math on the idea of me cleaning up after 11 people! Here’s how I get my kids to help on family cleaning day (we call this a house reset): 1: Certain jobs are consistent (their rooms), and certain jobs are different every week. VARIETY is what makes this work. 2. Make a list with everyone’s names & their jobs listed underneath. SEEING that everyone is working is what makes this work. 3. Assign yourself tasks just like you do them. Seeing YOUR list helps motivate them to do theirs. You’re part of the team, too. 4. Ask them for jobs they want to do. INPUT is what makes this work, 5. Set realistic, age appropriate expectations for what completion looks like. If you did the job it might be done “better,” but do you really want to do it all? DONE is better than perfect - embrace this - it’s what makes this work. 6. Train them in what your expectations are before they fly solo. Do it alongside or for them with them watching a few times. VISUALLY seeing what “done” means & how to do the task is what makes this work. 7. Have something fun for them planned after. REWARDS are what makes this work. You like rewards, too. It could be a shared reward or something different for everyone. 8. Check their work. I know, I know. Who has time for that. If you want things to be effectively taken off your plate, you’ll have to make the time to do this. And, make a big deal about a job well done. ACCOUNTABILITY is what makes this work. #cleaning #cleaningtips #delegating #delegation #chores #kidschores #cleaninghacks #homemanagment #momhacks #workingmom #workingmoms #workingmomhacks #movivation #inspiration #theintentionalmom #lifecoach #lifecoaching
