it’s here. a community for disabled creatives. after fighting my place in the disabled community for most of my life, something magical happened. i walked into a room with 50 other disabled women. and my anxiety dissipated. and turned to… ease. i suddenly realized: these weren’t the kind of friendships i was scared of growing up, they were the ones I’d been waiting for. i thought – how could I recreate this feeling? so i’ve spent the last year saying yes. to every gathering i could host, attend or be involved in that brought disabled community together. and the more i hosted, the more people started asking “where can we sign up for these events?” it made me realize, it isn’t just me that needs this kind of community. it’s so much bigger. so i listened. and sat. and got to work. and Disabled& was born. Disabled& hosts community-driven events made for us. whether it’s sharing an intimate dinner with new friends, swapping insight with fellow entrepreneurs, or mentoring the youngest members of the Disabled& community, i’m excited to save you a seat. xx april link in bio to join us 🧡 #disabilityawareness #disabilitypridemonth #community #representationmatters #limbdifference #inclusivity #storytime

Autism Support Group Launch••• Exciting announcement!! I am offering support groups for members of the autistic community (18+), that means autistic adults/friend’s and family of autistic adults. You don’t have to be autistic to join! I am so excited to be doing this because I know when I was first diagnosed I wanted a resource or group to join where I could talk to other people who might understand what I was going through. I really could not find anything and of the one or two resources I did come across, they were through insurance and extremely expensive, so I could not afford it. I want these groups to serve as a resource for autistic community members who are navigating life and hoping to connect with other autistics for support, inclusivity, growth and awareness—to get more in touch and connected to other autistics, and also to yourself. I am trained in group facilitation, and I am not a therapist so this is not therapy! If you are looking for therapy this will not serve that purpose. This is a support group to connect and learn with each other. We will talk about all different topics, like autism and friendships, romantic relationships, navigating work as an autistic person etc. No one is pressured to share and privacy is of utmost importance. These groups are all online so you must have your video on so that people feel safe and comfortable knowing who is behind the screen. Share this with any autistic community member who has been looking for support 🫶🏻 For more details please visit my site www.autisticthrifter.org, it is also linked in my bio. Please email me with any questions at [email protected] I hope to see you in group 🩵 #autism #autismawareness #autismacceptance #autismo #autismlove #autismsupport #autismspectrum #autismlife #fyp #autistic #autisticadults #autisticwomen #autisticadult #autisticpride #actuallyautistic #neurodivergent #neurodiversity #neurodiverse

🎉Celebrating National Developmental Disability Awareness Month 🎉 At Opportunity Foundation, everything we do starts with people. People with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are living full, meaningful lives in Central Oregon and the dedicated staff who support them every step of the way. Our team shows up in the everyday moments that matter most: morning routines, new skills, first jobs, hard days, big wins, and everything in between. They build trust, create stability, and help individuals grow in confidence and independence, not by changing who they are, but by honoring who they already are. This work takes heart. It takes patience, consistency, and deep respect for the people we support. Our staff bring all of that and more every single day. Their work often happens quietly, but its impact is powerful. Lives are strengthened. Individuals are supported. Communities are better because of it. Opportunity Foundation exists because everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and included. We are proud to walk alongside the people we support, and we are honored to do this work in a community that believes everyone belongs.
