Expectation VS Reality 😱😱 at Devil’s Bridge 👀 Yes, the views are incredible, BUT this is one of Sedona’s most popular spots, and there’s often a line to walk across the bridge. Planning tip: • Starting from the main trailhead: ~4 miles round trip • With AWD access: closer to ~2 miles round trip Going early helps, but crowds still happen, patience makes the experience better. Still worth it just go in with the RIGHT expectations. #devilsbridgetrail #devilsbridge #sedonahiking #arizonahikes #optoutdoors Sedona Hikes | Popular Hikes in Arizona | Instagram vs reality | Travel Reality

Relatable ? READ BEFORE GOING ‼️ SAVE for Later ✅ 📍 Devils Bridge, Sedona TiPs: 1. Avoid weekends and try to reach as early as possible. Finding parking is really hard as this is a really famous spot in the park 2. Hike to Devil’s bridge is 2 miles with a 4*4 vehicle and 4.2 without it since you will end up parking at the Mescal Trailhead. So if you are renting I would suggest you to pick up a 4*4 3. Be prepared with the poses you want to shoot as you get only few minutes Nevertheless you will get your shot and you can walk on the iconic bridge but you need to wait for longer. how to avoid the devils bridge crowds 🥾🏜️✨ if you’ve been to sedona or know of it, I bet you’ve heard of or seen photos of devils bridge. the absolutely stunning natural bridge overlooking red rock wilderness! BUT, if you’ve hiked it, you’ve seen the MASSIVE CROWDS. I’ve been once where there was a line of like 50 people to take a photo on the bridge- wild. how to avoid it: •hike via mescal trail not dry creek (parking is easier & less people know about it!) •hike at sunrise or sunset (most people are doing other things at this time- trust me it’s worth it!) •spend time under the bridge (no one does this but it’s super cool too!) comment “devils bridge” for my blog post with more details 🏜️✨

Video Credit 📹 @leaderofargo That “I’m totally fine” face is doing a lot of heavy lifting when there is a 54-foot drop involved. 😅 Devil’s Bridge is the ultimate Sedona “canon event.” One minute you’re vibing on the trail, and the next, your knees are holding a staff meeting about whether or not we actually need to walk out there for the video. Spoiler: The footage always wins, but the leg shakes are real. 🦵✨ 🚠 The Hiker’s Cheat Sheet: If you’re planning to tackle the ledge, here is what you actually need to know: • The Height: It’s a 54-foot (16.5m) drop to the bottom. • The Width: While it looks like a tightrope in photos, the bridge is actually about 6 feet wide at its narrowest point. You’ve got more room than you think! • The Status: This is the largest natural sandstone arch in the Sedona area. • Pro Tip: If you want that iconic shot without a 2-hour wait, get to the trailhead before sunrise. Your sanity (and your schedule) will thank you. Are you team “Walk to the middle and pose” or team “I’ll just take the photo from over here, thanks”? The hike is considered moderately easy, but there are some challenging sections. ✅The Mescal Trailhead has a parking lot with bathrooms, also you can park on the side of the road if the parking lot is full ✅A shuttle bus is available to the trailhead from downtown Sedona ❗️Dry Creek Vista parking lot is getting full very quickly, if you don’t want to wake up very early then Mescal parking lot is much better choice. 🔆We enjoyed the hike with our puppy 🐶 #devilsbridgetrail #sedonahiking #redrock #arizonatrail #hikingparadise #sedonaviews #naturelovers #explorearizona #goodthingstaketime #patiencepaysoff #perfectshot #worththewait #capturethemoment #instainspiration #timewellspent #travel #travelcouple #adventuretravel #couplegoals #hiking #travelcommunity #beautifuldestinations #contentcreator #arizona #sedona

Everyone hypes up Devil’s Bridge, but here’s what first-time hikers actually need to know: 🟠 Distance: About 4.2 miles roundtrip if you start from the Dry Creek trailhead. There’s a lot of online confusion because you can shave off distance with a 4x4 vehicle, but most people walk the full route. 🟠 Difficulty: Honestly? It’s not hard. I’d call it beginner-friendly with a mild incline — more of a long walk than a real hike until the very end. 🟠 The Final Climb: The last 10 minutes are the only tricky part — you’ll climb up some rocks and it gets narrow. If heights make you nervous, this is where you’ll feel it. But it’s short-lived and totally doable. 🟠 The Bridge: Yes, it looks scarier than it is. It’s wide enough to walk across safely (I’m terrified of heights and I still did it). Just take your time, and don’t let social media panic you. 🟠 Tips: • Go early or late to avoid crowds & heat ☀️ • No shade on the trail — bring water • You don’t need hiking boots, but wear grippy shoes 📸 Is it worth it for the photo? If you’re in Sedona, yes. It’s iconic, easy enough, and feels like an accomplishment — even if it’s mostly a long casual walk. 👉 Save this for your Sedona bucket list ✈️ Follow @elizabethexplores for honest travel takes & underrated gems . . . . 🏷️ Devil’s Bridge Sedona hike, Sedona travel tips, beginner hikes in Sedona, what to do in Sedona Arizona, Arizona travel guide, best Sedona hikes, Sedona photo spots, honest travel reviews, scenic hikes USA, solo travel Arizona

📍Devils bridge, Sedona Arizona Considered a moderate hike. There are three options on how to get to this gem: The road to Devils Bridge trail head requires a high clearance 4x4 to drive it however, you can get there by walking all the way. 🛻 1. Fastest way to get here requires a 4x4 high clearance car. It is ~1.3mi drive down the dirt road to the Devils Bridge trail head from Dry Creek RD parking lot. Park at the trail head and then hike only ~1mi (one way) from Devil Bridge trail head to the Bridge (or 2mi round trip) options 2-3 if you don’t have a 4x4: You can hike the dirt road from the main parking lot to the Devils Bridge trail head to the bridge. Here are 2 ways to do the walk: 🚶🏽♀️4.6mi round trip from from the Dry Creek Road paved parking lot and down Dry Creek Rd to Devil’s Bridge trail head to Devils Bridge. OR 🚶🏽♀️4.2mi round trip from Mescal trailhead, parking lot located at Long Canyon Rd, thru Chuckwagon trail The parking lots can get full pretty fast so you can take the Sedona Shuttle to the Dry Creek parking lot and hike in. ⛰️ I hiked from Dry Creek parking lot and it wasn’t bad The trail is pretty flat until the last ~0.5mi to the Devils Bridge with ~530ft elevation gain
