¿La vieron? Seguimos con el cine poético. De la mano de Theo Angelopoulos. Está peli transformó mis conceptos del cine. Me impactó enormemente y es de esas que me voy a llevar conmigo. Amores Perros (2000), directed Alejandro González Iñárritu. I can't believe it's his directorial debut movie. It's fine work in setting us up in a trap where chaos is the only answer with no peace close by. As an audience, we share the enthusiasm for learning the story. The camera work is deliberate yet realistic. Handheld camera work really keeps us on the edge to make us feel how we felt. They aren't saints who deserve a good payoff. Some are evil and some are greedy. It is like a payoff for their deadly sins. I'm not going to look at dogs casually anymore. The deaths of El Chivo's dogs keep striking my mind. It was traumatic to watch. The movie was almost perfect. It's think that Alejandro might have made some changes in the screenplay to play it easy, maybe. I felt so, after watching the movie. Their lives could've turned out way worse, but he went easy on us. And it worked. #amoresperros #alejandrogonzáleziñárritu

Pedro Paramo is a story about power, memories, and change. Surreal, meditative, and the line between the living and dead blurs as perspectives unfold. Felt very 'Mexico' (in the most positive sense) to me... and the past echoes beautifully. This was somehow reminiscent (not in scope) to '100 years of isolation'.
