I have a thing for knitting with the same colour in different shades. Sue me. Thought I’d share another way of casting on with 2 colours for those that prefer the long tail cast on method. Happy knitting!

I was genuinely scared of knitting with two colors. It just looked… complicated. Like something “real” knitters could do - not me. The first time I tried, I failed. My tension was off, it felt messy, and I convinced myself that colorwork just wasn’t for me. But the truth is - it wasn’t me. It was the way I was trying to learn it. This is so much easier than frogging! 🐸 This is a super versatile fix for so many different mistakes - I’ve used it on everything from split stitches like these to colourwork to cables (and lace, though that one isn’t for the faint of heart). You can unravel multiple stitches at a time if you’re dealing with a larger mistake, but it’s good to try it on a smaller issue at first just to get the feel for it. I’m fixing Hayst in this video, a new summer top I’m working on.
