Great date night at @donnas_ep enjoying Italian-American classic dishes! I’ve been wanting to check this place out after drooling over all the IG posts about the garlic bread, meatballs, and pastas. We loved it! @ladybyrdcafe in echo park, los angeles! [what we got]: • lemon poppyseed pancakes - THIS WAS MY FAV OMG it was soooo good! the pancakes were fluffy and decadent and the whipped ricotta was the perfect touch. not too sweet either!!! my rec for sure • fried egg sandwich - wasn’t super special, the over medium eggs were nice but i do wish it was more stuffed with the egg, bacon, etc. still a solid option if you’re looking for a more classic brunch food • salmon benedict - ok i always get benedicts at brunch and this was a good one! salmon and spinach worked really well together and the hollandaise sauce was super creamy • little hummingbird juice - i was really interested bc i love plantains and saw that they had a juice bar! this drink was fresh and pulpy — you could really taste the texture of the real fruit. not sweet but something felt a bit off about it haha • mountain gem juice - basically a spiced version of the hummingbird but not as enjoyable lol maybe i’m just not a spiced drink girlie. plantains were still yummy tho [ambiance]: the coolest part of this place!! they have individual mini greenhouses that your party can sit in and it makes it feel like you’re in your own world. reminded me a lot of alice in wonderland with the drapes, floral decor and cute things everywhere! definitely a great outdoor brunch spot/hidden gem out in echo park 🔖: #brunch #losangeles #lafood , brunch in LA, things to do in LA, cafe, aesthetic, cute, trendy, breakfast, pancakes, eggs, hipster, food, eats, LA foodie, recommended, food rec in LA

🌼 HIDDEN GARDEN CAFE IN LA 🌸 Lady Byrd Cafe is in the heart of an Echo Park neighborhood. It can easily be missed as you’re driving by but it is well worth a visit!! There’s flowers and plants everywhere with tables and seating areas throughout. There’s outdoor cabanas and 2 outdoor covered patios. Love the aesthetics!! Very charming and inviting!! Whether you go for breakfast or brunch, it’s great for a date or with a group! It was beautiful weather when we went! Nevan had friendly and wonderful customer service!! The staff that we encountered were very nice and helpful. The tea set was delightful as they set it on the table!! They offer mimosas as well. Love the bright orange color!! So vibrant! What we tried: 🫖Tea Service Comes with a beautiful vintage tea set! Ordered the Breakfast Tea which tasted so good and soothing! 🥂Mimosa 🍳Pork Benedict The tender, house braised pulled pork was on top of brioche bread, which is different from most Benedicts. A perfectly poached egg was on top. I would have liked more citrus hollandaise. Added Grilled Asparagus. 🧀 Grilled Cheese with side salad Loved the bread they used. Crispy and cheesy with a tomato slice in the middle. The side salad was very tasty. 🍖Smoked Brisket Pastrami with fries (MUST-TRY) My FAVORITE!! I could eat this every day!! Love the flavors!! Cooked perfectly!! Very tender!! The bread was perfect for this sandwich!!So satisfying!! I savored EVERY SINGLE BITE!! 🍓French Toast Loved the strawberries and honey cream!!
