No passado dia 25 de março, a ECO-ONE Portugal realizou o seu primeiro evento em Lisboa: o 1º Encontro de Sustentabilidade Hoteleira. A little update from Jimmy after Narelle 💙 The last few days have been a lot but today felt lighter. We got back out there and saw wildlife again and that felt like a really good sign. A Ocean Cleanup tem como objetivo primordial o desenvolvimento de tecnologias avançadas capazes de reduzir a quantidade de resíduos plásticos que poluem os oceanos anualmente. Para atingir esse fim, a organização realiza pesquisas científicas, análises de dados e testes de campo, visando encontrar soluções sustentáveis para essa problemática global. O projeto System 001/B é uma das principais iniciativas da Ocean Cleanup. Trata-se de um dispositivo flutuante que se utiliza da força das correntes oceânicas para capturar plástico flutuante na superfície do mar. Esse dispositivo é composto por um tubo flutuante com extensão de 600 metros e uma barreira submersa que retém o plástico coletado. Após ser recolhido, o plástico é levado para um ponto de coleta e encaminhado para reciclagem. Compartilhar esse vídeo é uma ótima maneira de conscientizar mais pessoas sobre a urgência e gravidade do problema do plástico nos oceanos, que está afetando não apenas a vida marinha, mas também a saúde humana e o equilíbrio do ecossistema como um todo. 🌊 @theoceancleanup

After weeks of site visits, thorough assessments & focus group discussions, and community engagement, EcoUling has finally found the perfect home for its newest Green Facility right at the heart of Sierra Madre. 💚 We’ve processed the paperwork with the LGU and the rural community, making sure that all parties understand how this facility paves the way for livelihood and meaningful work for them, while enabling them to contribute to EcoUling’s mission of transforming agri-forest waste into green energy. Construction has begun and we are slowly, but surely, putting in the work to make sure that our community feels empowered and ready with the skills and knowledge required for the work ahead.
