1. It’s okay to feel sad, lonely, or even relieved. Everyone experiences the empty nest differently. 2. Also, remember that you are only a phone call, video chat, or visit away from your grown child. 3. You are strong. This is your reminder that you are never too old or unqualified to learn some new skills and discover a new purpose. It has been almost a year since I became an empty nester. I didn’t exactly handle it well. It was the hardest thing I have gone through as a parent. And I was not prepared for what came next. I found myself using my free time scrolling social media. I became curious about what all of these people were doing online. I was 54, and not tech savvy, so I knew I would need some training. I reached out and asked another mom to see how she learned. I took the same course, and I was shocked how much I learned in a very short time. I was able to set up my own online business faster than I ever expected at my age (54). I went to college back in the day for teaching, and this course was better than any other course I had taken back then. I am still continuing to learn something new every day. It has given me my purpose back. Ready to start your own online business? This program provides everything you need to learn how to start as an online entrepreneur. Comment “learn” and I will sent you a FREE guide (includes some empty nester tips too!)and a link to the same course I took. ❤️Like & Follow👇 @lifeaftergrownkids

📖Empty Nest is a BIG adjustment, and it’s ok (and normal) to feel a little lost. For some women, it’s the initial adjustment to an empty nest that’s the hardest. For others, it may take some time to kick in. They feel like they’re doing well adjusting - and then, BAM! It hits them. Share this with other women in empty nest. 💖 🪹Comment “BEGINNER” for a free “Ultimate Guide to the Empty Nest.” Regardless of where you are in the empty nest journey, here are 5 of the most important steps to navigating it with confidence. 1️⃣ It’s normal to feel mixed emotions - Excitement, sadness, relief, and even confusion for what comes now can all come up. Let yourself feel it all - there’s no ‘right’ way to adjust - give yourself grace 2️⃣ Stay connected with your kids, but respect their independence. Text, call, or visit, but let them set the tone for how they want to connect. Your relationship will grow stronger when you give them space and time to adjust to their new stage of life, too. 3️⃣ Rediscover or create new routines that focus more on YOU. Focus on finding activities that interest you - whether it’s an exercise class, journaling, learning an instrument - whatever sounds interesting to you. Be willing to continue trying new things. Face each with curiosity. 4️⃣ Set a goal for the next 6 months to give you a boost in getting started in this new stage of life. Whether it’s personal growth, learning a new skill, or planning a solo trip, having something to work toward gives you direction and excitement for the future. 5️⃣ Resist the thought that “Your best days are not behind you.” Sometimes moms feel like empty nest is an END, but it’s equally a beginning. Which aspect of this you focus on is up to you and will have a profound effect on how you feel. 🪹Comment “BEGINNER” for a free “Ultimate Guide to the Empty Nest.” 💫 Follow @TrainaCoaching to learn how to rediscover your purpose and live with more joy in your empty nest. #emptynest #lifecoachingtips #midlife #lifecoaching #lifecoachforwomen #womenover50 #perspective #momsofinstagram

Nobody talks about how hard empty nesting can be if you don’t have a plan. 💔 When we dropped our youngest at college, we didn’t go straight home. We went to the beach — our happy place. That little detour made coming home to an empty house so much easier. ✨ My advice: 🩷Start dating your spouse again. 🩷Make plans before they leave. 🩷And remember — they’ll always come back, just differently. You thought once the kids left, your home would feel lighter. But here’s the mistake most empty-nesters make: 👉 They don’t reset their home for this new season of life. That’s why you still feel overwhelmed by… ❌ Rooms full of old stuff ❌ Closets packed with clothes that don’t fit your life anymore ❌ Paper and “projects” that never get finished Here’s the truth: you don’t need more motivation. You need a reset plan that finally works for this stage of life. ✨ The Reclaim and Reset Method gives you a simple two-phase system—daily resets that bring calm back, and room-by-room projects that help you reclaim your space. 💬 Comment PLAN and check your DMs—because you deserve to feel at peace in your own home. #emptynesters #clutterfreehome #simplifyyourlife

We need to talk about this more. Empty house = time to reconnect 💛 When the kids moved out, we didn’t need a full reset—we just needed a new rhythm that worked for us in this season. More movement. More margin. More moments that matter. We started walking, working out together, eating with intention… and the fat loss? That’s just been the bonus.
