Scenes from a successful day atop Ester Dome volunteering for the Equinox Marathon! Our boys Mike Ophoff (2:55:58) and Christopher Kalev (2:58:51) made their mark on the day, cruising into first and third place overall! Volunteer coach @untraceableg led the pack for much of the race and finished fifth in 3:04:07. It was on mine and for long time I thought its only visible in Finland or Iceland. 📍Lugares para ver las auroras en Fairbanks, Alaska: -1084 Ballaine Rd -Nordale RD -Chena Lakes -Ester Dome -Clearly Summit -Murphy Dome Algunos tips: ✅ Los mejores meses para ver las auroras son Diciembre, Enero y Febrero. Y los mejores horarios son de 11pm a 3am. ✅ Chequeá el pronóstico online antes de viajar. A mayor kp, mayor probabilidad de ver las auroras. ✅ El color de las auroras va aumentando con los minutos y las formas van cambiando. Si bien los cambios son graduales, suelen ser bastante rápidos. En cuestión de minutos las auroras pueden desaparecer, pero minutos más tarde reaparecer. ✅ Alejate de la ciudad para verlas mejor. ✅ Abrigate bien y usá muchas capas de ropa (si compras buzos de fleece, mejor) porque es un lugar muy frío. Cuando yo fui, llegó a hacer -41°C de sensación térmica. Alaska es un sueño hecho realidad. No sólo tiene las auroras boreales si no también miles de lugares hermosos para explorar. There’s something so special about sharing these songs during solo shows. I got to sing this and a few of my originals on Ester Dome last night and hear the words, melodies and chords that I poured my heart into in my living room project through the hills. Thank you to everyone who came and listened and shared that moment with me. I can’t wait to do it again. This song is called Cabin Love written by me 💕
