I think I’ve found the BEST SHRIMP in London! gifted* I was kindly invited by Indo African restaurant @thetrurorestaurantuk and was so so so impressed with all the food but in particular the shrimp, they were jumbo in size and seasoned to perfection! We ordered the Full Chicken & Prawn Signature platter (£74.95) made up of a whole grilled chicken & 24 prawns! We went for garlic butter & peri peri on both the chicken & prawns. I’d say the garlic butter shrimp and peri peri chicken were the best combo! The chips, mocktails & sauces were great, I was hoping for the rice to be seasoned a bit more but aside from that I’ve got no complaints 📝 They’ve got branches in Tooting & Croydon and are very well priced so definitely pay them a visit guys. We were invited by Jimmy’s Killer Prawns to experience their seafood and WOW, it was honestly the best thing ever! For starters, we ordered the fried calamari rings and wow, they were absolutely delicious! Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavour. A great way to kick off the meal. For mains, we went all in and got the Jimmy’s Killer Prawns platter for two (which comes with two sides) as well as the Jimmy’s Seafood Boil for one and OMG!! Every single bite was incredible. The portions were generous, everything was fresh, and the flavours were next level. What we really loved is their spice-o-meter that ranges from original all the way up to extreme spicy. It’s such a fun concept, and no matter what level you choose, the flavour is unreal!! rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. If you love seafood, flavour, and don’t mind getting your hands a little dirty, this is definitely the place to be. From the moment we walked in, the staff were super friendly and the food was absolutely smashing! 😍 Our top pick? The Seafood Feast. We got the 8 Princes in Creamy Cajun and O-M-G... we seriously underestimated how good it would be. Mind. Blown. 🤯👌🏽 Next fave: The Sailor's Delight - £30 for 10 medium shrimps, 10 prince shrimps, buttery corn on the cob + spicy mac & cheese, served with rice, chips and their trio sauce. The portion size? EASILY feeds 2 people! 💥 For starters we tried the Deep Sea Sampler (shrimps, calamari hoops, halloumi bites & cod sticks) and again.. HUGE portion, super tasty, and perfect for sharing.
