You all made it (maybe)! Congrats 🎉 each semester is a learning experience. What worked, what failed, and how will you adjust? Planning on those changes is the setup for success at the end of Spring semester. Studies show that university students that write their reflections on past successes (and failings) are shown to maintain higher retention and class performance. Going as far as keep a study/reflection journal is encouraged, nerdy as that sounds… The best moments as a professor are getting messages from students after their effort and resilience paid off. We want you to make it 📝 If things didn’t go well, this is why we do multiple exams and lab projects 😅 STEM, Premed, and pre-dental students have lots of talents outside of test questions. Labs may seem like an extra burden, but they’re actually your chance to prove that you have psychomotor and teamwork skills on your applications. The MCAT, DAT, and OAT have plenty of time for that. Content in any university lecture is important, but lab projects can assess higher outcomes. For instance, you can analyze data, create figures, and study how to discuss. Projects also allow for teamwork, creation, and big ideas. Don’t be sad the next time that you see lots of class points deviated to projects outside of exams in a Biology or science college class 😉

Morgan’s book was entitled 'Illustrations of Masonry by one of the Fraternity Who has devoted Thirty Years to the Subject.' It was finally released in 1827 in Batavia, New York on an independent label. Freemasons are taught that anyone who reveals the secrets of the Order will be brutally murdered. Morgan was kidnapped & killed by fellow Masons, despite having a wife and two children. Any Mason who joined in the 1800s would have realized there was a dark energy involved. Before you even receive the ceremony for the first degree, you are placed in a 'meditation room' & are asked to write down your philosophical and moral testament. In this process, you confess any and all moral failings you feel you have, in specific detail, giving the group power over you in the process. You acknowledge that you are 'profane' & are about to receive 'the light' of Masonry. The murder of William Morgan became a very public scandal & ultimately led to over 45,000 out of 50,000 total Masons in the United States 'disfellowshipping' & leaving the Order. Over two thousand lodges completely shut down, including virtually every lodge in the Northern states, within less than a decade. Henry L. Valance confessed in 1848 that Morgan was murdered by drowning. Rocks were tied to a rope around his waist. Morgan was then dumped into the Niagara River after crying & pleading with his captors for his life. This obvious #Masonic murder ultimately caused the whole story to break open. A political movement called the Anti-Masonic Party was formed soon after Morgan’s death. Our Lady has untied the most complicated knots in my life and wants to do the same for all her children.⁣ ⁣ While she has been referred to as the untier of knots since St. Irenaeus described her as such in the 2nd century, the devotion we know of today dates back to the 1600s. German Nobleman Wolfgang Langenmantel and his wife, Sophie, were having marital problems. Distraught and on the brink of divorce Wolfgang went to Jesuit priest Fr. Jakob Rem for counseling.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ The two prayed together to the Blessed Virgin Mary for Wolfgang’s marriage each time they met. While meeting for the last time on Sept. 28th, 1615, Wolfgang provided Fr. Rem with his wedding ribbon, which was used during his wedding ceremony to tie the⁣⁣ couple together as a symbol of unity.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Fr. Rem then took the ribbon, lifted it up next to an image of Our Lady of the Snows, and asked Mary if she would “untie the knots” of Wolfgang’s marriage. The ribbon⁣⁣ then loosened, completely untied, and became pure white. Wolfgang and Sophie reconciled after this happened.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Whatever the knots in your life, entrust them to Our Lady today.
