Needlefelting Tips….. sometimes I share on here!……. I don’t do flat coated dogs as much as long haired ones but I so enjoy them when I get the chance! Here I’m using a felting brush to make a ‘pelt’ for Gidget’s top coat. (Brand Clover - on sale all over the internet) Handcarders @heidifeathers Once I’ve applied it I stab it on well to attach it. Gidget has a wired armature inside her body, her eyes are hand painted by me, her nose is formed using Silk clay (purchased from EBay - seller Crafty Jam). Her core body wool is purchased from @simply_felting (sells in big bags for excellent prices) Her top coat wool is Merino purchased from @worldofwoolteam and @adelaidewalkerwool i also purchase needles from @heidifeathers (I mainly use 38 Red as they are great all rounders and very strong). Needle holders small are from @flock2felts big ones are again by Clover but I cover them in pretty Washi tape! Let’s simplify wet felting! I feel like I don’t follow too many rules but it always works out! As long as I put enough wool roving it ends up looking real cute! I make little seasonal playmats for my kids and they love playing with little figures on them! The kind of wool I use is called Corriedale wool roving! I get mine from @mymy.and.me this project probably used 15$ of wool total! She has a bunch of colors to choose from!
