Is it eel season? On this day I started with a grass rockfish, moray eel and another bigger moray eel I almost landed but it got away and the last eel I saw as it got close but snapped once it hit the rocks also. Ended the day with a kelpfish. Overall a great fishing days the only thing about eels it means I have to reset my rig everytime I catch one of those they really mess up my line. #fishing #sportfishing #eel #morayeel #fishinglife

I really like this spot bc the bite is on, but there’s a few “catches” to this spot. The problem with this spot is it is such a short window to fish, you have to go during the right tide. It is super snaggy and the platform to fish is not flat, you will probably get splashed and play a lot of wave tag. & if you stay too long you will have to scale the slab wall to get back to the parking lot which Anubis and I found out the hard way 😂 the wall at the bottom is slippery so u have to climb higher, but if u slip, ur sliding down the slab into the water lol. It wasn’t the smartest thing I did that night 🤣 luckily I know how to traverse slab walls and Anubis is very agile. But not recommended to try at all lol. New fishing spots are fun but always keep in mind tide rising and getting stuck or stranded is not fun. Anubis and I made it out safely and I only slipped at the base as we were leaving 😂 no injuries, just an adventure with Anubis! Part 1 of the mission, I went to the coves and was fishing with my friends but all we landed was lil dinks. We had plans to meet up with the rest of our crew for the night hours and check out a new fishing spot for me. I felt lots of tugs at this spot it was just stealing all my bait the lil species.
