FLOAT Convention 2026 Recap ✨ LUX POPPIN floated on over to Reno, Nevada (more like survived 5 canceled flights, drove to JFK twice, and made it out in a snow storm with two connections to Reno 😅) for 4 intense days of learning, connection, and creativity! ✨ We came home with extremely valuable lessons, fresh inspiration, and new ideas we can’t wait to bring into our work! 🫶 It was so special to reconnect with our balloon faves and make brand-new friendships along the way. One of our favorite parts of attending balloon conventions is the camaraderie, and hanging with our people who get this crazy industry! I brought a discontinued balloon to FLOAT… and the reactions were priceless. Geoblossoms were legendary in the balloon world — and when Qualatex closed its doors, these quietly became part of balloon history. Some artists recognized them instantly. This week was a dream came true as I reached another milestone - teaching at @therealfloat2026 convention. Thank you so much to @fanfaire.io for sponsoring my classes and to @betallic for providing @sempertex balloons. But most of all a huge thank you to everyone who chose to attend my classes, there were so many choices with amazing instructors so I am honored you attended mine. And thank you to everyone who didn’t attend but took the time to read my pages of notes and either ask questions or give feedback. The importance of in person education in this field cannot be emphasized enough. Not only does it give us the opportunity to grow as artists, but to network, and community build. It shows you the limitless opportunities we have with our businesses if we are willing to put in the work. Float Convention Day 1 We’re living the dream at the biggest balloon convention ever! After almost 9 hours in the air, we rolled into Grand Sierra Nevada in Reno. The balloon art on display was mind-blowing, created by the best in the business! We snagged some amazing goodies in our welcome bags and even got hands-on with balloon builds and twisting. We participated at the hat balloon contest for beginners – what a blast! After dinner, it was a quick bedtime due to our early flight. Already stoked for Day 2!@therealfloat2026
