📣 Florida homeschoolers — it’s July 1st, and that means it’s officially shopping season with your Step Up for Students scholarship funds! 🛍️✏️ If you’re enrolled in the Personalized Education Program (PEP), you can now start purchasing educational items for the 2025–2026 school year — and YES, many of them can be reimbursed! Here’s how to get started 👇 🧾 Check the approved list of reimbursable items — things like curriculum, books, school supplies, tech, and even museum memberships are often eligible. You can find the list on the Step Up parent portal under “PEP Resources.” 💸 Buy now, submit later – You’ll pay out of pocket and request reimbursement through your EMA account. Just make sure you keep your itemized receipts and only purchase items listed as approved. 📤 How to request reimbursement – Log into your EMA portal, go to your student’s dashboard, click “Reimbursement Requests,” and upload receipts. Super easy once you do it once! 💰 Wondering if your funds were awarded yet? Check the “Funding” tab in your EMA account. If your award says “Funded” and has an amount listed, you’re good to go! Pro tip: Make a folder (digital or paper) to track purchases + receipts. It’ll save you major time when it’s time to submit! You can apply for the Florida PEP, Educational Options, or Unique Abilities scholarships now! If you live in Florida and are choosing to homeschool for 2025-2026, or have your child attend an eligible private school, submit your application today. The unique abilities scholarship is provided for eligible diagnoses including ADHD, learning disabilities, and students with an IEP. This can cover tutoring, therapies, private school, and more if your child is NOT attending public school. This has been amazing for many families to be able to access resources that they otherwise had difficulty affording. You can also search the marketplace and purchase academic curriculum, sensory items, connect with direct providers, and more. This may be controversial… but Florida is funding families, not just schools. Florida’s PEP (Personalized Education Program) is giving parents full control over their child’s education — and most families don’t even know it exists. This program is game changer for families! ✔ Available to all Florida K–12 students eligible for public school — regardless of household income ✔ Designed for parent-directed education (homeschool, hybrid, or personalized learning) ✔ Students receive an average of $8,000 per year in an education savings account (ESA) That funding can be used for: • Curriculum of YOUR choice • Gymnastics, piano, art, theater, sewing lessons • Private tutors + virtual classes • Co-ops + hybrid programs • Educational supplies + materials There are no district strings attached. All students accepted into the ABSN program are eligible for LINE Fund scholarships. The Accelerated B.S.N. program takes 15 months to complete. *After graduation, the students agree to work as full-time registered nurses at a UF Health facility.  Students must already have a bachelor’s degrees or higher in other areas of study.
