If you have these builder-grade flush mount ceiling lights, this is the EASIEST way I’ve found to change them up! Almost every single rental apartment we’ve lived in has had these ugly glass flush mount lights, and now the house we just bought also has these lights 🥹 but this means I can show you how we did it ✨ The glass cover is held up by 3 metal prongs that rotate, so the cover can be removed. We used a @kmartaus woven pendant light and added baking paper to each tier of the light so the lightbulb would be obscured. Then just hang it up with the 3 prongs 💛 We did the same using a lamp shade from @ikea_australia for one of the sun rooms 🫡 I may add a baking paper layer to cover the bottom of that light too. Step 2: Twist off your old boob light. Step 3: Unscrew and untie the wires of your old light. Step 4: Connect the wires—copper to copper, white to white, and black to black—then secure with the orange wire nuts. Step 5: Tuck the wiring into the junction box. Step 6: Align the plate with the screw holes and secure the light fixture plate. Step 7: Select your light setting: (can be done in the beginning) ✨ 3000K - warm light ✨ 4000K - natural light ✨ 5000K - bright daylight Step 8: Pop on the white cover and twist to lock in place.
