Flushing, Queens is one of the city’s best neighborhoods for snacking! Here’s the ultimate food crawl… (WITH PRICES!) 🌟start off with pastries matcha and coffee @cafewbakery…. We spent a bit here but there were 4 of us and we all got coffee + milk bread to bring home! 🌟 White Bear is iconic and a must hit for their $10 wontons 🌟 we loved the pork over rice at Corner 28 🌟they also own @shanghaiyougarden across the street where you can find perfect duck buns for $2.50 or iconic soup dumplings 🌟the new world mall is a must visit and yes you could likely only eat here all day or try a few things like PanBao66 buns (stall 29) or Lanzhou Handmade Noodle (stall 5) 🌟right outside of the new world mall there is a stand selling tanghulu! 🌟 final savory of the day was @juqi_ny and which makes a stunning Peking duck…the food is unique for sure and the whole duck with caviar is $109 🌟 last stop was @meetfreshusa to try their new Thai milk tea series, shaved ice, grass jelly, bubble waffles, and more!! Can’t really beat a $6 scallion pancake (2 for $10) 😂 The owners that run this spot have been in the food business for over a decade. The two storefronts that are side-by-side are under the same ownership. I typically go for their pan-fried bao, stuffed flatbreads, and chive pockets… but they also offer Taiwanese sausage, dumplings, and huge pieces of fried chicken! This scallion pancake is different from the typical lighter, flaky one as it uses yeasted dough. AFTER LITERAL MONTHS OF WANTING TO TRY THIS PLACE I FINALLY TRIED IT AND IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It’s like eating a massive cheesecake with stretchy, chewy mochi. It wasn’t too sweet either but still satisfied my sweet tooth. I won this huge plushie by eating a lot of skewers. We went to Gan blaze, and had such a great time because we got to pick whatever skewers we wanted whenever we wanted. They had so much variety, including a ton of meat, sticks, veggie sticks, and other side dishes, and a really great assortment of drinks. The staff was amazing and it’s just a comfortable place to sit chat eat and catch up on life with friends and I highly recommend it! With every 10 skewers, you can have a chance to win a prize and it comes to you in a human sized gotcha form!
