Try the seated forward fold (aka Paschimottanasana). Mindfully doing this pose with the suggested tips allows for a deeper forward fold that stretches the entire back side of your body from your heels right up to your neck. ● Sit tall on your sitting bones with a microbend at the knees ● Inhale, lift your chest up ● Exhale, hinge at the hips (not the waist), and extend your torso forwards, keeping your back flat ● Lengthen your spine and engage your core as you reach for your toes. If you can't reach your toes, hold your ankles, shins, or knees Stay in this pose for 1 minute and breathe deeply. Try not to use your arms to force the fold deeper. This could lead to strain and injury. Note that this is not the full expression of the pose, but a variation for those who aren’t fully flexible.
