Framing is so important to a painting, it can make or break it. A bad frame can make a brilliant picture look… well, a bit crap. That’s why I frame all my work myself. From the width, colour and finish, to the staples, tape, wall fixings and the little brass title plaque that brings it to life, every detail matters. I’ve made the mistake before of putting strong paintings into cheap frames, and it instantly drags the work down. Never again.
