Read it here↓ (+save for later) This is the best way I know to become a full-stack developer. Most people waste years in college for a skill you can learn in 6 months. Here are five lessons to get you there faster: 1️⃣ Skip the fancy degree. You don’t need a computer science diploma to get hired. Employers care about skills, not where you went to school. 2️⃣ Master HTML, CSS, and JavaScript first. These are the building blocks of every website. If you don’t know these, don’t even bother with the rest. 3️⃣ Learn backend basics. Use Node.js (Express) or just use next.js at this point (recommended) 4️⃣ Projects over tutorials. Stop jumping from tutorial to tutorial. Build real projects like a real solution for yourself. You’ll learn more by solving problems yourself. 5️⃣ Understand version control. Git and GitHub are critical for teamwork. If you don’t know how to use them, you’re not job-ready. I’ve made git cheat sheet with all the useful commands. It’s completely for FREE. 🃏 Comment: „Cheat Sheet“ & I’ll send you the link! This roadmap removes the fluff and shows you the exact path to understand how servers, APIs, and databases work together. No more guessing, just clear fundamentals. 🎓 Backend basics: The perfect starting point. You’ll get a solid overview of what backend engineering is, including server-side logic, HTTP, and how different stacks fit together. Great for beginners who want a clean mental model. 💻 REST API Crash Course: Time to build. Every backend developer should be able to design and create reliable REST APIs. This resource walks you from concepts to a full Python API tutorial you can turn into a portfolio project. 📘 Databases Deep Dive: Real backend skill = understanding data. Learn relational databases, indexing, normalization, and advanced SQL so you can think about performance and scalability like a senior engineer. 💡 With these resources, you will: Understand core web architecture with confidence Build a real API project for your resume Clearly see how data flows in a microservices setup If you’re serious about leveling up in software engineering or preparing for system design interviews, these backend fundamentals are a must. 📌 Save this so you don’t lose the roadmap. 💬 Comment “BACKEND” and I’ll send all the links. 👉 Follow for more on backend, databases, and APIs.

A lot of people ask me what tools I use to go from concept → shipped product — here’s my full-stack toolkit: Backend: NestJS → for structure, scalability, and clean code separation ORM: Prisma → because I like my queries typesafe and elegant Database: PostgreSQL → reliable, battle-tested, and still my go-to Cache: Redis → performance booster for sessions, caching, and queues Docs: Swagger → turns every API into a self-explaining playground Frontend: Next.js + Tailwind CSS → fast builds, clean UI, and component-driven design that scales beautifully Validation: Zod (mini) → lightweight schema validation for safer data flows Linting: Biome.js → keeping my codebase fast, clean, and consistent Mobile: Flutter → for building native-feeling apps from a single codebase Design: Figma → where UI, UX, and ideas come to life Deployment: Hetzner for backend infra + Vercel for seamless frontend deployments This setup helps me move from idea → design → development → deployment without breaking flow. Every tool here has earned its place — not because it’s trending, but because it delivers. If you’re building your own stack or planning your next project, save this post — it’ll give you a solid foundation to start and scale efficiently. #FullStackDeveloper #Nextjs #Nestjs #Prisma #PostgreSQL #Redis #Flutter #TailwindCSS #Figma #Zod #BiomeJS #Hetzner #Vercel #IndieDev #DevSetup #BuildInPublic #webdev #coding #tech #fullstack #devlife #setup #frontend #backend #thedevlife #developerlife

Master these topics = master backend This roadmap cuts that to 12 months — and tells you exactly what to skip. Comment "Backend" to get the link Here's the full breakdown: Phase 1 (Weeks 1–6) → Foundation. Pick ONE language, build a raw HTTP server, learn SQL and Linux. No frameworks yet. Just understand how things actually work under the hood. Phase 2 (Weeks 7–18) → Core Skills. REST APIs, caching with Redis, auth done right, Docker, background jobs. This is where 90% of devs stop growing. You won't. Phase 3 (Weeks 19–28) → Production thinking. CI/CD, observability, cloud, security, performance profiling. Most tutorials never teach this. This is where you actually separate. Phase 4 (Weeks 29–42) → Advanced systems. System design, Kafka, microservices, Kubernetes, reliability engineering. The stuff senior engineers debate at 2am. Phase 5 (Weeks 43–52) → Top 1% habits. Read real codebases. Contribute to open source. Write about what you build. Own one deep specialty. Build something with real users. The secret nobody tells you? Top 1% isn't about knowing more tools. It's about building deeper, shipping real things, and writing about it. Follow for weekly breakdowns like this — no padding, no fluff, just the exact path from beginner to backend engineer that companies actually want to hire.
