this is my first time using this dish or anything like it. this works great as an herb bowl (yayyy) and it worked really well for the garlic too! i know some people were concerned about the garlic getting stuck in the holes but they do make a brush for that - which you have to use whether you have a grater of this design or a grater with spikes. in this video i used an unused paint brush i had unfortunate i dont have a proper garlic grater brush lol. but given how well the paint brush worked, im sure the actual brush would do a MUCH BETTER job! ^ i will say tho, i was able to get the little bit of garlic left in the bowl with some water mixed in (: which can be easily poured into a pot! lastly, i know people were concerned about this bowl smelling like garlic since this is a ceramic bowl, once it was washed with water and soap, it didn’t really smell like anything. i will say though - while making this video, it smelled like garlic bread which is sooo delicious lollI #functionalpottery #pottery #ceramics #potteryideas #handmadepottery #potterydesign #ceramictableware #garlicgrater #herbbowl

2024 has been the year of making new-to-me pots. For 30+ years I have been a production potter with a distinct line of work, cranking out forms I made over and over because they sold well and my customers expected them. Over the years, I slowly evolved, adding new pieces here and there. But this year has blown it out of the water with constant growth and experimentation. All thanks to…many things. I am soooooo blessed in so many aspects of my life and pottery life, and this morning I woke up inspired to start a “days of gratitude“ series.
