O materiais sintéticos utilizados na indústria têxtil são plásticos, portanto, quando realizamos o teste de queima, o tecido irá derreter e depois endurecer, comportamento clássico de um plástico. Quanto menos sintético na composição, menos evidente esse comportamento será. So I tried to remove print layers remelting the printed surface with laser and it worked 🦾 As much as you can optimize the print direction of your components, there will always be layers along the z axis (at least with fdm prints) which might be initiation points for cracks. I printed both elbows with PA6 GF which has amazing adhesion however print lines were still slightly visible and I was worried about possible cracks since these components are stressed in all directions so there isn't really a good one to pick. I decided to make some tests in order to remelt the upper surface and have layers bong together at least on the outer surface which is the most important speaking of cracks initiation. And all of this was incredibly easy to test and iterate with @xtool.eu @xtool_it S1. Thanks to its automatic height detection and possibility to laser irregular surfaces I was able to quickly perform multiple trials and find the best speed and power for optimal results. And honestly this is very good both for aesthetic and strength. More trials will be done but for the moment I'll just stress test these elbows.
