Never thought I’d make a curling cupcake 🥌🥌🥌🥌🥌🥌🥌🥌 but I’m obsessed! Oreo buttercream makes the perfect speckled granite base! The top is make of red candy melts + pocky sticks, glued together with dark chocolate. Pipe a large dollop of oreo buttercream onto your cupcake (ateco 809 tip), then press the top piece into it. Smooth the sides with a palette knife. Oreo buttercream RECIPE: ⬇️ * 226g (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temp
* 440g confectioner’s sugar  * 1 cup Oreo crumbs (roughly 12 Oreos, including the creme centers!) 
* 2 TBSP milk
* 1 TSP pure vanilla extract
* pinch of salt In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mix butter on medium speed for 2 minutes until creamy and pale in color.  Add the sugar, milk, vanilla, and salt.  Pulse the mixer a few times so the sugar doesn’t explode and mix on low until all sugar is incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl for any remaining sugar. Then mix on medium for at least 2 minutes until buttercream is light and fluffy. Mix in the Oreo crumbs last. 🪨 When Massive Granite Blocks Break During Extraction 😮 In this video, enormous granite blocks are extracted from a quarry and released onto a sandy hill below. The intention is clear: the sand is meant to cushion the impact and reduce damage during handling. However, despite the sand bed acting as a shock absorber, the massive stone hits the slope and suddenly splits into two large pieces. 💥 Why does this happen? Granite is incredibly strong in compression, but it is still brittle. When a huge block falls: 🔹 Internal micro-cracks expand instantly under impact stress 🔹 Uneven force distribution creates tension zones 🔹 Natural fault lines inside the stone become breaking points 🔹 The height and angle of the drop increase stress concentration Even with sand underneath, the kinetic energy from such a heavy mass can exceed the stone’s tensile strength. The result? A dramatic fracture right along a natural weakness line. This shows how unpredictable natural stone can be — especially at large scale. Quarry operations must carefully control drop height, angle, and landing surface to minimize costly breakage. The woodworking technique is called mortise and tenon, a method used for thousands of years to build temples that stand without nails. ​The assembly is simple physics.
