We had an amazing adventure at Great Wolf Lodge in Naples, Florida! 🐺🌊 After 3 nights of non-stop fun and excitement for the kiddos, we found that 2 nights would have been the perfect stay. Our room was super accommodating (with a fridge and even a crib upon request) and it was surprisingly quiet considering all the kids! 🛌✨ Tons of food options kept us satisfied, though by night 3, we were ready for a change of scenery. They make it super convenient by providing wristbands that serve as both your room key and a form of payment. A real-life ‘concierge’ is available to you via text, making things convenient and easy. If you’re thinking about booking Great Wolf Lodge for your family, please watch this first. I want to be honest — we actually had a wonderful time there. The kids had the best experience, and that part was truly special. But financially? This trip has been one of the most stressful travel experiences we’ve ever had. Here’s what happened: We booked what was supposed to be a $600 stay and paid for it in full before our trip. At check-in, everything showed a $0 balance, confirmations matched, and we thought we were good. But then the charges started showing up on my bank account: ✅ A mysterious $269 “room rate/package” that was never disclosed anywhere — not in the booking, not at check-in, not in any receipt. ✅ Multiple deposit holds stayed on my account for over a week after checkout — even though they should be removed within a few days. ✅ Charges for things we never purchased. What should’ve been a $600 family getaway ended up being over $1,300. And yes — we did stay an extra night, which was expected to be charged separately — but that still doesn’t explain all the other charges. After researching, I realized I’m not the only one this has happened to. A quick Google search of “Great Wolf Lodge overcharge” shows many families dealing with the same issue. Here’s another thing: 💸 Parking is an extra fee too — $19–$35 per day So you pay to stay there… and you pay to park while you’re there. 🐺 Great Wolf Lodge 🏨 📍 Colorado Springs, CO 👏🏼 We took our first overnight trip to @greatwolflodge this week and it was AWESOME 🤩 💦 The water park was the highlight. We only stayed 1 night but you can arrive anytime before check in and still have access to the water park! They will hold your bags and you can go to the locker room to change and spend the morning having fun! 🏡 Same for after check out - we packed up our car and then went back to the water park for 3 more hours before heading home 🍕 There’s restaurants in the hotel or tons of places in the shopping center around Great Wolf (we went to @parryspizza 🫶🏼) 🍲 You also have access to a mini fridge and microwave in your room so we packed some snacks. ❄️ I loved going in the winter. It felt really special to my kids to be able to go to a water park *inside* during cold months 🎟️ I bought a Groupon for this trip. My friend and I split the room with our kids. The Groupon was $119 and after taxes and resort fees, it came to $200. So we each paid $100 for an overnight trip with water park wristbands, which made it a reasonable splurge to me. 🐺 if you’re staying at the lodge, don’t forget to head to the gift shop counter to get your free pair of wolf ears!
