Garlic Soy Roasted Cabbage Wedges Ingredients 1 medium green cabbage, cut into 8 wedges 2 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) 3 cloves garlic, minced salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste toasted sesame seeds (optional) red pepper flakes (optional) sesame oil, for finishing (optional) Instructions Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the cabbage into 8 even wedges, keeping the core intact to help them hold their shape. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Generously brush the mixture over each wedge, coating all sides for even caramelization. Arrange the wedges cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart for proper roasting. Roast for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway through if desired. Wedges should be golden and crispy at the edges, tender in the center. Optional: Sprinkle with sesame seeds or red pepper flakes before serving and finish with a drizzle of sesame oil. Notes For extra flavor, marinate the wedges for 10 minutes before roasting. Optional toppings like sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, or a drizzle of sesame oil add depth and texture. Make it gluten-free with tamari or coconut aminos. Love this recipe? Roasted Cabbage Wedges - If cabbage is not a veggie that you usually get excited about, you should try roasting it. For this recipe, I cut a head of green cabbage into wedges and brush them with rice vinegar and olive oil before putting them in the oven. Then I make a quick tahini sauce with scallions, parsley, a little soy sauce and lemon juice to drizzle over the roasted cabbage. You can serve it on its own as a side or pair it with cooked grains or lentils for a vegan main dish. . Comment “recipe” below and I’ll send it to you or click the link in my bio. . #lastingredient #veganrecipe #healthyrecipes #dinnerideas https://www.lastingredient.com/roasted-cabbage-wedges/

I’ve been loving cabbage this season. It is so cleansing, refreshing, crunchy and bright. So I had to share this beautiful recipe as it’s a wonderful way to add a little raw to your otherwise cooked meals, now that the weather is warming up. Reel and recipe from @myglobalpantry “See how the cabbage shrinks as it sits with the salt and lime juice? I promise it’s really not that hard to finish a whole (or half) in one sitting 🥬 Ingredients: - 1 green cabbage - 1 red onion - 1 lime - 2T sesame oil - 4T sesame seeds - 4T roasted salted peanuts - Salt Method: - Thinly slice the cabbage (removing the thick inner stem) and thinly slice the red onion. Add two large pinches of salt and mix well, then squeeze over the juice of half a lime and mix again. Let sit at least 30 mins. - Carefully pour out any juice that has accumulated at the bottom of the bowl. Drizzle over 1T of the sesame oil, mix, then squeeze over a remaining 1/4 lime wedge, mix again. Taste and adjust with the remaining oil and lime to your liking. - Chop the roasted peanuts, then sprinkle them into the salad along with the sesame seeds. Mix and enjoy. Some of you got a little fired up last time I called these “cabbage steaks”.😂 And listen, I love me a good steak, so I’m definitely not pretending cabbage is the same thing… we’re just slicing it into thick pieces and roasting it until the edges get golden and the middle turns tender and buttery! Whatever you want to call them, they’re a ridiculously easy side dish and a great way to use up that head of cabbage sitting in the fridge. Are you team “steaks” or should we rename them to cabbage slabs?😅 Comment RECIPE and I’ll send you more cozy cabbage recipes.👇 Ingredients for cabbage steaks: 1 head green cabbage 2 tablespoons olive oil ¼ teaspoon salt more to taste ¼ teaspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon melted butter chopped fresh parsley or thyme for garnish https://www.spendwithpennies.com/cabbage-recipes/ #easyrecipes #recipes #dinnerideas #cabbage #cabbagerecipe
