Launching yourself against the wall and getting yourself tired will build some endurance, but it usually doesn’t give you the most bang for your buck. Drills like this are extremely helpful when learning straight handstand alignment. Gonna for sure aggro the handstand community with this one. I’m not saying you can’t spread your fingers out or that you should never point your feet I’m just saying do these as a starting point. 1. Most high level floor balancers close the hands a bit. You can push much harder into the ground with the fingers closer together and slightly extended than you can by spreading the fingers too much. 2. Learn the basic movements before adding on the little details. Pointed feet are athletics in handstands. I’ll die on that hill. Worry about line when you have a solid handstand hold. if your practicing your handstand holds facing away from the wall, you likely have a large curve in your spine, if you think about when you hold a handstand, you want to be perfectly straight, with your shoulders stacked over wrists, core engaged, toes pointed one rigid line. Therefore, if you’ve been practicing against a wall and you’re not stacking correctly, it won’t translate when you go to do your free standing handstand. So next time you practice with the wall, try facing it or getting as close as you can to mimic that straight line.
