Would you dare? 😱 Can you guess this breathtaking spot? It’s a favorite for thrill-seekers who love snapping those iconic “hanging off the cliff” poses, creating an illusion as if they’re clinging for “dear life” over a steep drop! 😅 A hint: This country is world-renowned for its EPIC Northern Lights, jaw-dropping fjords, and unforgettable midnight sun hikes. On a more personal note - Sorry for the brief pause in my travel stories. I’ve been quiet for a bit as I’m back home, working on some exciting new chapters in life. Big things are in the works, and I’m hoping they’ll come together over the next few months. 🙏✨ As for Greenland, I had already shared a few posts but paused halfway. The landscape was beyond stunning - we saw whales, passed by massive floating icebergs, and explored glaciers and ice caves. But when we reached Tasiilaq, I felt like a pendulum swinging between highs and lows. The town has a deep, dark history that isn’t often discussed on social media, and it left me reflecting on the experience and its contrasts. I’ve decided to take a moment to gather my thoughts and will focus on editing the YouTube video first, to do justice to their past and present. Once I’ve pieced it all together, will condense the rest of the trip into a full Instagram post. Follow @isabella.aroundtheworld for more daily travel inspiration and epic hikes! 😍 One of my favourites in Switzerland: 📍Appenzell Wasserauen - Seealpsee - Schäfler - Wasserauen 🥵 Difficulty: Intermediate - Hard 🥾 Length: 14.5 km | ~ 7 hours 📈 Elevation gain: apx. 1.000m There’s also the option to take the cable car from Wasserauen to Ebenalp, hike to Schäfler and then down to Seealpsee and back to save lots of time and elevation gain. But as always: Hiking up is fun and saves you 💸 The hike up to Seealpsee is not too strenous and gets really busy in summer. Take a swim there and admire the views, then hike a relatively short but very steep trail up to Schäfler. The views up there are amazing and you can even stay overnight at “Berggasthaus Schäfler” to experience the sunset there. Then head back down to Wasserauen via Ebenalp and Aescher guesthouse. 🩵The real source of Gatorade? Nope, it’s Lago di Sorapis in the Dolomites!😍 This is the most beautiful place we visited in the Dolomites 🥰. The color of the water is absolutely mesmerizing, and the hike up (although a bit challenging in some parts) is stunning on its own. ✨ What to know before you go: 🥾 4–5h return hike ⬆️ ~450m elevation gain 🌲Starts in an alpine forest, then opens up to stunning mountain paths (with a short narrow ridge + a few cables/climbing bits — no special gear needed) 👟 Not expert-only, but watch your step + wear good shoes ⏰ Go early (we started at 7AM) → quiet trails, fog rising from the valleys = magical 👎 Later in the day = heavy crowds 🏊‍♀️ No Swimming (to protect the lake) 🍽️ Rifugio Vandelli = perfect coffee/strudel stop ⚠️ Not advisable after rain — the trail gets very slippery. 🌿 Comment ‘Guide’ to get our Free Dolomites Guide🤗 —— 👋 Hi, we’re Hannah & Nick!
