Trust me…I learned them the hard way 🫠🥹🙄 1️⃣ Going full send on the SkiErg 🤡 I’ve done it started way too hard, legs burning, heart rate through the roof… and then realizing it’s just the first workout. Pace smart. HYROX is a marathon with burpees 🫠😮‍💨 2️⃣ Watch out for water stations!! 👀💦 Sounds funny, but I once slipped badly right there the floor can get super wet. I even posted a video of that fail… so yeah, learn from my pain 😂 3️⃣ Not eating enough before the race 🍌😮‍💨 Huge mistake. HYROX will drain your energy fast if you don’t fuel right, you’ll crash halfway through. During the Race I take one energy gel. 4️⃣ Check your shoes. Seriously❗️👟👀 Double knot them after your warm up and again right before the start. My boyfriend @colossusflex learned it the hard way when his laces came undone during the SkiErg 😬 it cost you time and energy! 5️⃣ Don’t push both sled lanes without a break ❌🔥 I made that mistake once pushed two full lanes without stopping, and the lactate hit hard. My legs were on fire and I felt it for the rest of the race 😵‍💫 Take short pauses, split it into half lanes your body will thank you later! And the last one… ❌ Not following me here on Instagram. Here’s why ⬇️ It feels fair… but it’s rarely fast. 🧠 HYROX Doubles = intervals (not a long grind) Treat the SkiErg like repeated sprints, not steady-state: ✅ Swap in short chunks (125–150m is a smart default)  ✅ 50–60 SPM for most  ✅ 8–9 effort each turn  ✅ Damper ~6–7 for most teams  Hit it hard ➝ swap fast ➝ recover ➝ repeat ⚡️ ✅ The rule that actually makes you faster: The stronger runner should start + finish… or at least FINISH the station. 🏁 Why? Because the last pull decides the next 1K run.
