The salmon & scallop had hints of mayo and wasabi, I couldve eaten like 6 fr 😂. The unagi was paired with konbu butter which paired so well with the eel and rice!!! Both the ramens were so flavourful, you can just tell by the colour of it🤤. It wasn’t overly oily or heavy but tasted full of umami 🥰. Really reminded me of Japan and definitely in my top 3 for Sydney. The noodle texture was perfectly bouncy as well 🙂‍↕️. If I was to be really picky, the chashu is not as tender as other places, but still has a nice smokey flavour 😋 The ambience was stunning with a full bar area. It is definitely more upperscale than majority of ramen joints I have been to 🤩. Their yuzu magarita is one of the best cocktails I have had. Official opening will be on the 5TH OF MAY. As a ramen lover, I am not going to miss out any ramen spots in london. I had: ✔️ Akamaru Modern £14 The bowl of thin ramen noodles was topped with charsiu, beansprouts, spring onion and black fungus. The broth was thick and well-seasoned, and the star was the black garlic oil poured on top. As I have mentioned a lot of times I am a huge fan of thick noodles, but you also get to choose the firmness of noodles at Ippudo, so perfect for someone like me who hates soggy noodles. The portion may not be enough for an adult man who is hungry, but it’s just alright for ladies. In general, the bowl of ramen was decent, given the thickness of soup and the springiness of noodles, and it is not too pricey. However I would say it’s just an ordinary authentic bowl of ramen without anything special.
