How much do you value structure over what the software actually does? 🤔 “Software has two types of value: the value of its behavior and the value of its structure. The second of these is the greater of the two because it is this value that makes software soft.” ― Robert C. Martin I see this more as a mentality issue.. Many developers solely focus on the requirement rather than the bigger picture which lays in the structure of your code. And yes, this might lead to "over engineering", but with the right development plan, that's not going to happen. This is why I recommend iterative development: ➡ Iterative development. Iterative development involves breaking down a project into smaller, manageable parts that are developed and tested in iterations. Each iteration builds upon the previous one, allowing for incremental improvements and adjustments. 💡 We call this MVP's (Minimal Viable Products). To make MVP's creating awareness is the key. You make milestones of what you want to achieve but keep in mind the most optimal result. The first MVP has no optimization or what so ever and as you iterate, you keep improving it. 🙌 In the end deadlines must be met, but this way you can make conscious decisions when something has to improve and when to sacrifice the structure of your software.
