Like, exactly? 🤔 It's a really important skill to have as a voice over talent.🎙 You need it for drop ins and pick ups, and it's a pivotal component of the iterative process of building a read. 🎯 To test yourself, try this exercise: 1️⃣ Record a single sentence. It can be anything, but you want it to be at least 20 words. 2️⃣ Repeat the read, aiming for an exact replica. 3️⃣ Put both reads into your DAW and compare the shape of the waveforms. 4️⃣ Play them at the same time and compare the audio. 5️⃣ Take note of the differences. 6️⃣ Listen to your first read, then immediately record the line, again aiming for an exact replica. 7️⃣ Go back to 3️⃣ and run the comparison. Repeat as many times as you want. 🥳 I highly recommend making it part of your regular practice. 👌 This is most effective when done wearing closed back headphones for recording and playback, and vital when you're working on fine nuances. 🎧 It's also most effective if you're nice to yourself and bring both curiosity and a learners mindset to the task. 🤩 Got questions?
