we flew to kauai to visit this bakery 🥐 🍞 @midnightbearbreads in hanapepe was completely sold out when we went last year, so it was my mission on this trip to finally get my hands on some. we did a pre-order online (minimum $20 and must be ordered by 7pm the day before) and picked up our pastries before we headed back to the airport. ❤️ here were our favorites: 🧀🍖 ham & cheese croissant $6 🥐 ginger + lemon lavender morning buns $5 each 🤎 macadamia nut cinnamon roll $6 🅿️ there’s lots of parking, shared with the other businesses around the area. if you wanna ensure a good selection, i’d highly suggest doing a pre-order

These carefully planned zones help manage tourism and preserve residential communities. The four VDA locations on the island include: Most of Princeville: Renowned for its lush tropical scenery. ⛰️ The majority of Poipu: Famous for its sunny beaches and consistent weather. 🌞🌞🌞 A defined beachfront corridor in Kapaa: Offering easy access to the Coconut Coast. 🌴🌴 A small area in Lihue around Kalapaki Bay: Providing convenience for island exploration. ⚓ It's important to note a key exception: properties holding a Transient Vacation Non-Conforming (TVNC) permit. These permits were granted under previous regulations, allowing a limited number of properties outside the VDA to continue operating as short-term rentals. Operating a vacation rental on Kauai outside of these designated Visitor Destination Areas (VDAs) without a Transient Vacation Non-Conforming (TVNC) permit carries significant consequences. Kauai County actively enforces its vacation rental regulations to preserve the character of its residential communities and manage tourism.
